Soft-Seal

Posted by YamamotoKumiko on

The Soft-Seal is a valuable option for systems that handle easy-crystallizing or particle-contaminable fluids. Small elastic parts, which are as chemically inert as Teflon™, protect sealing surfaces from particles in the liquids, reducing common leakage problems with Teflon™ valves. Note: Details such as specifications, etc., may be changed without notice.   Perfluoroelastomer, the elastomer used for the Soft-Seal, has a stable molecular structure consisting of only fluorine, carbon, and oxygen atoms. Outstanding resistance to almost all chemicals. We have a Chemical Compatibility Table, which has more details.   Effectiveness against Foreign Matter Glass beads sprinkled (Diameter: 40 μm) on...

Zero-Pumping-Volume Valves

Posted by YamamotoKumiko on

The diaphragm produces a pumping effect on a fluid as the diaphragm valve opens and closes. This effect is because the diaphragm's up-and-down movement increases and decreases the volume inside the valve chamber as the valve acts. The volume of the fluid pulled in and pushed out is called the pumping volume. As some valve models pump several microliters of fluid simultaneously, the pumping volume forms a negative factor in metering an accurate fluid volume and preventing fluid from dripping from a dispensing nozzle. Some valve models we provide have minimal pumping volumes due to their unique internal structures...

Zero-Dead-Volume Valve

Posted by YamamotoKumiko on

The "Internal-Volume" is the space between the diaphragm and the body. When the valve closes, this volume is trapped, often reducing the sensitivity of a test instrument. The protruding valve seat is hard in the old design and prevents the Teflon™ diaphragm from flattening against the valve body. We use a uniquely soft, inert elastomer (FFKM) for the valve seat in the Zero-Dead-Volume system. When the valve closes, the soft protrusion presses flat, eliminating the internal volume.     Note: Details such as specifications, etc., may be changed without notice.   Features of the Zero-Dead-Volume Cross-contamination prevention. Faster flushing. Perfect...

Takasago’s Original Designs

Posted by Quan Ngo on

As a leading manufacturer for fluidic handling, Takasago, has been solving the troubles faced by design engineers in various ways, especially in analytical instruments where our experienced technologies are mainly adopted. In our long history of customization, we have come to set the original designs for high demand customizations as standard options for customers to select freely. Please refer to the following:   Takasago’s Original Designs:   Zero-Dead-Volume Valve - Reduces the residual volume of the valve chamber to the utmost limit.   Zero-Pumping-Volume Valve - Makes the pumping volume 100 times lower than our standard valves.   Soft-Seal -...
