Takasago Electric, Inc. is a specialist manufacturer of miniature chemically inert valves and pumps. Its head office is located in Japan, having a company history of over 50 years. In addition to its Chinese factory (100% owned subsidiary), we have a branch office in the United States, DBA (doing business as) Takasago Fluidic Systems. It is located in Westborough, Massachusetts and started its operation on October 2012. The website of Takasago Electric, Inc. is operated under the name of “Takasago Fluidic Systems”.
The core strengths of Takasago Fluidic Systems (TFS) are miniaturization, customization, and integration. With these, TFS is recognized in the industry as a distinctive player that fulfills the niche demands of its clients. For instance, we offer the world's smallest class of products to handle fluid volumes in the microliter order without waste. As a result, we not only supply parts to major global analytical equipment manufacturers but also get involved in technically demanding projects lead by well-known universities and agencies such as Harvard, Stanford, MIT, and Cambridge as well as NASA and JAXA.

Takasago offers a wide variety of precise fluidic control related components such as solenoid valves, pinch valves, air-operated valves, diaphragm pumps, syringe pumps, peristaltic pumps, piezoelectric micro pumps, manifolds, fluid chips, and fittings, etc. These products are used in a variety of fields such as diagnostic equipment, environmental measurement devices, many types of scientific analytical applications, medical apparatuses, inkjet printers, and fuel cells, etc. and so their wetted materials are specifically adopted to be compatible with many different liquids such as chemicals, solvents, and analysis samples. In addition to the supply of our existing stand-alone products, Takasago’s takes great pride in our ability to customize existing products in order to fulfill a customer’s requirements. We are also able to manufacture a fluidic module by combining several different components.

Takasago’s head factory acquired international quality management standard ISO9001 certification on 30 September 1999. This certification can only be acquired when the quality management of product design and manufacturing is implemented based on international standard as recognized by an international quality assurance institution.
We acquired certification of the Aerospace Quality Management System Standard AS9100/EN9100 in August 2014 for parts machining for the aerospace industry.
