Self-detects abnormalities such as leaks caused by contaminants.*1 Predicts end of service life before failure occurs. *2

  1. When used in combination with a dedicated detection circuit, the system can detect internal valve leakage caused by various factors, including foreign object intrusion, abnormal pressure increases, and wear over time.
  2. It also enables confirmation that liquid is flowing properly when the valve is open. By detecting electrical conductivity upstream and downstream of the sealing area, the system can additionally identify conditions such as bubble entrainment, liquid depletion, and changes in solution concentration, depending on operating conditions.
  3. Increases in operating voltage over time can be monitored, allowing predictive maintenance before the end of the valve’s service life.
  4. This sensing function can be integrated into valves of various sizes and is also applicable to manifolds and fittings.

Detection accuracy may be reduced for liquids with low electrical conductivity, such as pure water.
*2 Detecting an increase in operating voltage (service life detection) requires adjustment of the supply voltage.
