TFS acknowledged as a “2020 Global Niche Top 100” company by the Japanese Government
We are pleased to announce that Takasago Fluidic Systems (TFS) has been acknowledged as a “2020 Global Niche Top 100” company as certified by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan.
Takasago has aimed to be a global company since being founded in 1959. As such, this award is a mark of pride for the company.
On this occasion, our solenoid valves for analytical instruments were certified as the Global Niche Top Product. Analytical instruments, such as blood analyzers or environmental analyzers for exhaust gas and drain water, play an important role in maintaining our health and the environment. Our solenoid valves are a key component in such instruments, and handle samples and reagents, which means they directly affect the analytical accuracy of the instruments. Currently, about half of our consolidated sales come from such solenoid valves, exported from Japan to nearly 60 different countries worldwide.
TFS is recognized in the industry as being a market nicher, manufacturing the world's smallest class of products to precisely handle fluid volumes in the microliter order and without waste. As a result, we not only supply parts to major global analytical equipment manufacturers, but also receive inquiries regarding incredibly difficult custom-design products or prototypes from well-known universities and agencies such as Harvard, Stanford, MIT, and Cambridge, as well as NASA and JAXA. As a concierge of fluid technology, our motto is "Never say “No” to our customers' technical challenges."
