Company History

July 1959 Takasago Electric was founded in Naka ward, Nagoya, Japan.
January 1963 Takasago Electric, Inc. was established as a legal entity.
April 1967 Takasago Denki Shoji Co., Ltd. was established.  (Business transfer to Torii Dengyo Co. in April 2023)
July 1967 Headquarters, with a new head office and a factory, were built at the current location, Midori ward, Nagoya, Japan.
June 1975 An additional building was constructed with a clean room section as a dedicated workshop for inert solenoid valves for analytical and medical applications.
April 1980 Takasago started exportation with an inert valve made with PTFE, which was adopted by ISCO, Inc. in the USA.
March 1990 Capital increased by investment from Nagoya Small and Medium Business Investment & Consultation Co., Ltd.
April 1994 The first overseas distributor partnership started in the UK.
January 1999 “Good Company Special Encouragement Award” was awarded by the Medium and Small Business Research Institute.
September 1999 Certified for quality management system ISO 9001.
April 2000 Authorized as a quality factory by HORIBA, Ltd.
September 2001 Takasago Electric Co., Ltd. was established in Hong Kong with a factory in Shenzhen, China. (Dissolved in December 2021)
February 2002 The Shenzhen factory began its operations.
August 2003 Certified by SONY Corporation as a “Green Partner”.
September 2003 Participated in the establishment of Pico-Device Co. as a result of joint research with Nagoya Institute of Technology.
November 2003 Takasago Electric (Suzhou) Co., Ltd was established in Suzhou, China.
June 2007 Selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as one of "300 of Japan's Vibrant Monozukuri (Manufacturing) Small and Medium-sized Enterprises".
July 2010 The branch office of Takasago Electric (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was established in Shenzhen, China.
July 2011 A new building with earthquake-absorbing isolation structure was added to the headquarters.
October 2012 A branch office in Westborough, Massachusetts, USA started its business as Takasago Fluidic Systems.
April 2014 Sumigomu Takasago Integrate, Ltd., a joint venture with Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd., was established.(Dissolved in November 2022)
August 2014 Certified for JISQ9100/AS9100/EN9100 quality management system for the aerospace industry.
June 2020 Selected as one of “2020 Global Niche Top 100 Companies” by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
July 2020 Takasago Holdings, Inc. was established, and Takasago Electric, Inc. became its operating subsidiary.
October 2020 An in-house company system was introduced and “Fluid Control Systems Company” and “Future Creation Company” started operations.
